Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Easy Ereader collects, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated August 2026.

Who we are

Easy Ereader is a small independent site about e-readers, run by two people. Our address for privacy enquiries is our contact page.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and roughly where visitors come from. This is configured to collect aggregate usage data — pages viewed, approximate location by country or region, device type, and how you arrived. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Meta Pixel. This site currently runs the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel, which allows Meta to record that a browser visited this site and may be used for advertising measurement and audiences. This is a third-party tracker operated by Meta under its own privacy policy.

Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive whatever you type into it — typically your name, an email address so we can reply, and your message. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Comments. If commenting is enabled on an article and you leave one, WordPress stores the comment, the name and email you supply, and your IP address, as it does on any WordPress site.

Server logs. Our web host keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the server.

Affiliate links

Links to Amazon and eBay are affiliate links. Clicking one may set a cookie from that retailer so a later purchase can be attributed to us. We never see your payment details, your address, or what you ultimately bought — only aggregate commission reports. Full detail on our affiliate disclosure page.

Cookies

Cookies on this site come from three places: WordPress itself (for basic site function and, if you comment, to remember your details), Google Analytics, and the advertising and affiliate services described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some things may behave oddly.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run a mailing list or send marketing email.
• We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — particularly in the UK, EU, or California — you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. Ask us through the contact page and we will respond.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, and you can manage Meta’s advertising settings from within your Facebook or Instagram account.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change how any of this works — adding a newsletter, for example, or removing a tracker — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
