Easy Ereader is free to read. We pay for it with affiliate commissions, and we would rather explain exactly how that works than bury it in a footer.

The short version

When you click a link on this site to Amazon or eBay and go on to buy something, we may receive a small commission from that retailer. You pay nothing extra. The price is identical to what you would pay going there directly.

Which programmes we belong to

  • Amazon Associates. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and its international equivalents, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
  • eBay Partner Network. We are a member of the eBay Partner Network and may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through our eBay links.

How it affects what we write

It does not change our recommendations, and there is a straightforward way to check that rather than take our word for it: look at what we actually recommend.

A large share of our picks are discontinued devices and second-hand listings that pay us very little — a used Kindle Paperwhite 3 at forty dollars generates a commission measured in cents. If we were optimising for revenue we would push the newest, most expensive hardware on every page. We do not, because that is usually the wrong answer for the person reading.

We have never accepted payment from a manufacturer in exchange for a review or a ranking, and we do not accept free devices in exchange for coverage.

Cookies from affiliate links

Clicking an affiliate link typically sets a cookie so the retailer can attribute a later purchase to us. Amazon’s attribution window is usually 24 hours; eBay’s is also short.
